Setting up a bird- feeding station should not be undertaken lightly. During extreme weather, your “visitors” will come to depend on you and expect food to be available at every visit. If you cannot maintain a regular food supply, it is perhaps better not to begin.
This in no way suggests that you should not throw out scraps and food leftovers for the birds.
I feed: Peanuts (whole and crushed) sunflower hearts, niger seed and fat balls. Always supply fresh clean water.
If the lower picture is active, you will see a live streaming video in a few seconds. Please be patient.
Regular birds to the feeders include:
Blue tit, great tit, coal tit, goldfinch, green-finch, starling, robin and long-tailed tit.
Occasional visitors:
Nuthatch, great spotted woodpecker, siskin, grey squirrel and sparrow hawk.
